Welcome to Steve Gould Photography. I am a San Diego photographer, and I specialize in landscape, nature, wildlife, and underwater photography from around the world. My images are available either as custom fine art prints or as stock photography. You can see many of my favorite images on the Galleries pages. There are galleries for many of our Western states, as well as for other parts of the world where I have traveled; I have been to six of the seven continents, Australia being the one still to come. And, there are galleries for underwater images from many of the best diving areas of the world.
You'll find information on my background and photography on the About Steve page.
I have published my Antarctica book, "To The End Of The Earth, A Journey to the Southern Ocean". The book is available in three versions. I've also published a new book, "A Journey Through Iceland", with images from my recent trip to Iceland (read more below). They are both available from Blurb.com. AND, I have created eBook versions of both books!
Just click on Check Out My Books below, and it will take you to the "Steve Gould Photography Bookstore" at Blurb. If you want to view any book, click on any of the book icon. If you would like to purchase a copy, click on the book icon with the type of cover you would be interested in. This takes you to the page where you can view/preview the book, and where you can place an order if you wish to. This is the page where you will see the eBook version, too.
HOME PAGE IMAGES
I have been absent from here for a number of months again, but here are more images from my trip to Grand Staircase Escalante National Park in Utah. Yes, that was over a year ago, but the images are still fresh! Most of this trip to Utah was in the Escalante portion of the National Park, and it has an awesome variety of rock formations and wild canyons. Lots of unimproved roads to bounce over, too! Route 12 from the town of Escalante to Boulder is one of the most amazing roads I've ever driven on. There are so many gorgeous overlooks, but the best part is a section that runs along a ridge barely the two lanes wide, with both sides dropping to vistas that make your jaw drop. At the end of my stay there, I took a run up to Capitol Reef National Park for a quick look. I'll definitely be going back for an extended visit.
My new book, "San Diego, A Photographic Portrait", to be published by Twin Lights Publishers, is now at the printers and should be in bookstores and on Amazon in April! I completed the project at the beginning of September and gave the publishers 300 images - from the nearly 20,000 I took over the course of the year. They picked 185 for the book. It was exciting, and I learned a lot about my hometown, and I had some wonderful experiences with people I met during this adventure.
